Snow on strike day

Our little land has arrived at a standstill today as public sector workers strike for more pay and better working conditions. No schools open, no public services, roads untreated in one of the coldest spells in recent years…

I’m self-employed and a little unqualified to offer an opinion on much of this. I support (whatever that means) the workers right to strike for better pay and conditions but isn’t it a shame we are at this seemingly dead end… no functioning government, a busted economy, inflation, cost of living crisis, post-pandemic problems… and the media spinning every change in our weather and drawing us into endless negativity and doom.

Anyway, kick some snow under your feet, have a look up at the bright winter sun and I don’t know, maybe brush the snow off your car or build a snowman… and don’t switch on the local news.
