We build trust when we make promises and then keep them.
– Seth said that here
One of the biggest challenges of my thirties has been in relation to trust and promises. I haven’t always been good at saying what I mean and meaning what I say but, I’ve tried to get better at it as I get older.
I constantly need to keep myself aware of how much is too much, too busy, or too distracted. When I do that I have clarity to say yes when I mean yes, and no when I mean no.
Being this way isn’t always popular but when we do what we say we are going to do, people build trust with us.
It may seem overly simplistic to say this but – and i’m quoting someone else here – saying isn’t doing. Doing is doing.
