Walking in the antrim hills…….

The weather forecast said rain……..possible hail and thunder storms……….”medium Rick” had scouted out the landscape/terrain so I was totally dependent on his expertise……..he could have been leading me to my death on a cold wet hill somewhere overlooking Larne……..imagine if Larne was the last thing you saw before death!! sheeesh!!

We walked about 8 miles……….fell into a ‘shugh‘ or two and got attacked by killer hail stones…….

Superb day and worth the effort…….

5 years married….

Last night our small group brought us a cake and a card to mark our 5th wedding anniversary……..which is today…….super bunch of people. T’was good fun to sit and chat around a “fire” in the garden….

That is all!

Proverbs 1 v 8

Yesterday morning we climbed Slemish with a few friends….. we talked about all manner of things and got blown away by the strong winds………but, on the way down we saw this father & son starting to climb up towards the foot of the mountain……

There are so many places in Proverbs where we read about listening to instruction………from wisdom, from a father/mother……

Cherith spotted the Proverbs photo opportunity and wrestled our camera from my rucksack…

Keith spent 45 minutes up here in a snow blizzard……

Make no mistake, this post is not to poke fun – from our group, Keith was the man of strength, endurance and stamina……it’s a real blessing to have him as a friend – I think we all agree!

This is the last Donard post – I think!!

A bite to eat, cup of coffee…….prayer meeting?

A few wee moments from our trip to the Mournes…….some fast [inexperienced/bad] video editing has us taking a break before approaching the Mourne Wall and then taking in the views as we leave the summit……….

Oh and the trumpet/Miles Davis track is just for the trumpet impersonators………
