If you believe everything you see and read online, you might be tempted to rate 2016 as perhaps the worst year that has ever been. News reviews are pre-programmed to remind us about Brexit, Trump, war and a seemingly abnormal amount of celebrity deaths.
Those things are real yes, but when I look back at 2016 I remember quieter moments, conversations over coffee, encouraging words, fine tasting coffees, surprising beers, new opportunities, meeting new people… moments that may seem small. They weren’t, they aren’t.
Our year was not without some disappointment but, on this last day of 2016 we are thankful for the good things.
