Selfies are disturbing enough when they clog up your instagram feed but over the past few months there has been a bit too much over-sharing going on – especially from those pesky celebrities. I present you the “hospitalised” selfie which is starting to make me feel a bit ill.
Miley, Rihanna and Lily Allen have all snapped a disturbing selfie from their hospital bed. Justin Bieber and Cara Delevingne have been at it too. Rumours suggest all kinds of reasons behind the hospitalisation but the party line from the celebrities say exhaustion from their busy hectic lifestyle. I am glad to report that all involved seem to be back on their feet again now – but really did we need the pouty-drip-in-vein photographs?
My hope is that young girls who look up to these celebrities are smart enough to look after themselves and avoid having to be hospitalised – and also sensible enough to give themselves a break from selfies if they are sick. Here is my quick guide to avoiding having to share a “hospitalised” selfie –
Eat regularly – at least once every meal
Stay hydrated – have you not learn anything from Bear Grylls?
Go home to bed at night – you are not nocturnal
. . . . and if you simply cant resist a “hospitalised” selfie – Keep your smart phone (lipstick, mascara, eyeliner, nail polish and blusher) on you at all times – after all you don’t want to look ill, right?
