Ida is from Sweden and was here in Northern Ireland for just over months….
She connected with our Church almost straight away and joined our small group.
It’s been great to get to know her better and we are a bit sad that she went back to Sweden today……

On saturday evening i made Spaghetti Bolognese for the first time….
Sure i’ve ate it before and never been a huge fanatic but this was my first attempt at making it.
I went for the first recipe that google gave me – with a few minor changes, one to suit a mushroom detesting wife…..
And it was good! It was very good………….

For me, it died a long time ago – the albums below are my favourites from a great period of music.
Sure, there have been a few (just a few) great albums since this golden period but largely its been cack.
If you have been sucked in by the allure of the “worship industry” then you should look away now!
Like a fast spreading virus it swept aside all in its path and duped millions into a silly notion that it was some kind of brand new musical genre that God had ordained! Suddenly “worship” was the music that mattered and was “closer to God’s heart” and proved you had a “heart for worship” and blah blah blah – do you hear that sound? Its me having a meltdown…..
And we wonder why people in our Churches don’t understand what ‘worship’ is and why they equate it solely with bands, singers and music styles?
Some of these bands still have integrity, some of them quit a long time ago and some of them became mega-stars…..
What albums would you add to this list?
You know when you hear a song and you just know that it is a bit of a masterpiece?
A few weeks ago at the Josh Ritter show that happened – i don’t know about the rest of the crowd but for me it happened a couple of times – these 2 songs appear in this order on the new album ‘So Runs the World Away’ – i cannot remember if he played them back to back in the live show BUT they totally blew me away on the night!
I have already blethered on about the album so il leave that one for you to check out but you have to hear these 2 songs – this is a great solo performance despite the moaning kids in the first clip……….
