Looking back its so bizarre…..
In 1987, i was 10 years old! That year was the first time i remember noticing a bass player, perhaps if im honest that experience is why i was always fascinated by, and wanted to play bass. The song was either ‘Lessons in Love’ or ‘Running in the Family’ and the band was Level 42. The bass player was Mark King, he is pretty good……..

Forget the things he has said & his reputation with the ladies! Here is one of the most talented musicians around right now, he just gets better and better! Crossroads is great, the version on his new album is cool, as is this live improv-heavy version. I had to also post Gravity, the song that may be the ‘jewel in his crown.’ I love how he re-invents it a little bit every time…….
If i believed in re-incarnation i might suggest to you that Jimi Hendrix merged with Stevie Ray Vaughn and this is what happened………………..he is that good
